• Promote Alaskan music in and out of the state
• Act as an information and resource hub, both for and on behalf of the music sector
• Serve the Alaska State Council for the Arts as a dedicated outreach and advocacy entity for music and musicians
• Create, locate, and share professional development opportunities and grants
• Connect arts groups already doing important work with one another (and with more Alaskans)
• Connect the broader business community with music-based resources
• Collect public data and conduct research to learn more about Alaska’s under-studied music ecosystem
• Build bridges between sectors and across geographic divides, learning from other musician development organizations around the world
